The best area to stay in Saint-Gervais is the heart of the village, particularly around the church and the main square.

This central area offers convenient access to the village's amenities. You'll find a good selection of shops, restaurants, and the main ski lift (Le Bettex gondola) within easy walking distance. The architecture here is traditional Savoyard, with many buildings featuring wood and stone, creating a pleasant, cohesive look.

For families, staying in the village centre is ideal. The proximity to the gondola means less hassle getting to the slopes, and there are often family-friendly activities organised in the main square, especially during peak seasons. It's easy to pop into a bakery for fresh pastries in the morning or enjoy a relaxed evening meal without needing a car.

Couples looking for a relaxing and convenient stay will also appreciate the village centre. The variety of eateries, from traditional Savoyard restaurants to more contemporary options, provides plenty of choices for evening meals.
