"I had a wonderful stay at the Anchor Inn in mid-October. I happily used the microwave and mini fridge. My room was the furthest one up closest the docks and water and it was lovely to have my private patio to relax even when the weather wasn't cooperating. The bed was comfy. The room was clean. And even with the winds howling and it being chilly outside, my room felt secure and comfortable. The hotel is very close to the downtown area. You can walk or rent a bike. It is also very close to Assateague Island National Seashore. I went there twice during my stay and had some excellent hikes and saw amazing wildlife. So remember to bring your National Park pass if you have one! The staff at the front desk were very helpful with any questions I had. I had one small issue upon arrival and that was there were some ants crawling around on bathroom sink. That didn't freak me out because the season has been winding down and I'm sure that happens. The staff responded quickly and took care of the issue. One other thing and maybe it was just me, is I wanted to just cast to the TV to watch some stuff I normally watch and I couldn't see a way to do it. I didn't ask. But it was fine. I didn't really have a need to watch much anyway. I highly recommend booking here. It was a delightful stay."

"Stayed for a long weekend with our two young kids. The property was well-maintained and laid out perfectly for a rental! Our kids loved the board games, and the Foosball and Air Hockey in the garage. The kitchen was spacious and equipped with everything we needed. The fridge did need a new filter, but Seaside Vacations was quick to respond and sent maintenance the same day to replace it. The bathroom finishes are lovely, and the views in all directions are unmatched! The washing machine was mildewy, which was not ideal for washing our things, but the rest of the property was very clean! The listing describes Marsh Island as a quiet get-away minutes from Chincoteague, which was part of the appeal to us. Unfortunately, there was very loud music coming from across the water until 10pm each night, making bedtime for our kids challenging. The light on Maddox Blvd is the one way on and off Chincoteague from Marsh Island and it got very backed up, so our drives from Assateague and downtown were longer than we hoped (granted, this could be due to heavy Labor Day weekend traffic). The spigot out back was not turned on or fitted with a hose, so we were not able to rinse off after the beach, as we had expected. All in all, without littles in tow, this home would be a better fit. Though we would not rent again anytime soon due to the ages of our kids, we recommend it highly for it's cleanliness, comfy furnishings, lovely finishes, incredible views, and ease of the whole rental process!"
