The best time to visit Ripoli is during the shoulder seasons of spring (April to May) and autumn (September to October) when the weather is pleasant and the region is less crowded. In spring, Ripoli's countryside bursts into bloom, offering beautiful scenery for leisurely drives or walks. The temperatures are mild, typically ranging from 15°C to 22°C, which is ideal for exploring the vineyards and olive groves without the intense summer heat. This period is also excellent for food and wine enthusiasts, as many local producers are preparing for the new season's harvest, and you can often find fewer crowds at popular wineries.Autumn brings the grape harvest, known as vendemmia, to Tuscany, making it a particularly good time for those interested in wine. The landscape transforms with rich, warm colours, and temperatures are comfortably between 18°C and 25°C. This season is also superb for enjoying seasonal truffle hunting tours and traditional Tuscan dishes, as local produce is at its peak. For couples looking for a romantic escape, the autumn light and fewer tourists create a more intimate experience. While summer (June to August) offers long, sunny days superb for poolside relaxation, it can be quite hot, often exceeding 30°C, and Ripoli experiences its highest number of visitors during this time.
