VERY unique property.
Huge vaulted ceilings in living room and open floor plan. Both bedrooms have king-sized beds. Master bedroom has private access to deck and hot tub.

The view from the deck is amazing! My partner and I spent the night in the hot tub looking at the stars above us, and we cooked with the kitchen equipment and ran the fireplace all night. It's definitely a very bumpy/rocky road to the house that's best conquered with an AWD car (or with their included 4x4s at the start of the gravel road), but it's 100% worth it!
It is a wonderful property that is just as listed. Very new, very clean, great amenities, amazing view. It is a little difficult to get to, 4x4 is definitely recommended. Would absolutely stay again.
we had a wonderful time so peaceful. Every time we heard the train we had to kiss. Great accomadations with great views. We loved it! The road going to cabin was quite an experience very rocky and steep.
would recommend this place to anyone that wants to relax
we enjoyed our hike to the waterfall as well so close
The views are worth the bumpy ride getting to the top of the mountain. The owner, Brian, and Sarah who did maintenance were fantastic. Kind, welcoming and helpful. I would book this property or a similar one from this owner. Looking forward to coming back and relaxing on the expansive deck taking in the views and dips into hot tub.
We really appreciated the cleanliness and comfort of the Sunset cabin. It was spacious and well equipped. We have often experienced rental properties with dishes, kitchen tools and utensils that looked like leftover pieces or bought at flea market. Not the case here. Decent cookware, everything in working order and the cabin was super clean, nicely decorated. Both bedrooms were nice size with king beds and own bathrooms.
Views from the balcony were great!
This cabin has the best mountain view/sunset you could possibly ask for! The house is clean and feels newly built. No weird smells or anything. The host was easy and quick to communicate with. Bring your own sheets and towels unless you want an extra charge for housekeeping. Not many food options close to the cabin so would recommend bringing groceries and staying in. The road to the cabin is rough but worth it when you see the view! Think of the road up as an add-on to the adventure and you will love it! Would recommend.
The most perfect weekend getaway to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary. The views are breathtaking, hot tub was perfectly situated, clean and relaxing. Our dog loved the views as much as we did. Cabin was spacious, cozy and updated. Host is very responsive…check in was a breeze…communication very clear. We were sad to leave, but fully relaxed and recharged to come back to reality. We hope to visit again! Thank you for helping us create such amazing memories. 10/10!!
Sunset cabin was the perfect home for the holidays! We enjoyed everything the cabin has to offer. The bbq, the breathtaking views, and the peaceful atmosphere. The house was well equipped with everything we needed. Walmart is a short drive from the cabin if anything is needed. The cabin was very clean. Definitely recommend this cabin for any occasion. My family and I had a great time! Hoping to be back soon! Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us!
We loved our visit to the cabin. The pictures do not do the views justice. We ran into some tough weather this past weekend, so there were no gorgeous sunsets for us. However, we did spend a fair amount of time on the desk just listening to the rain. It is a great place to escape from reality for a few days. The drive-up is tough, and you can do it without 4wd. However, it will most certainly be a bit nerve-racking. However, whatever you do, please don't allow the road up to be a deterrent to this gem of a location.
The cabin was perfect - extremely clean and new and had everything you could need. The only thing I will note is that getting up the mountain is an ordeal. The owner is gracious enough to give very detailed instructions on how to borrow one of his Jeeps - at first I wasn't sure how this would work, but it was very smooth, you leave your call in an area near the bottom of the mountain and have full access to a handful of Jeeps/SUVs to get up the mountain, which you will need if you are in a smaller car. That said, I would NOT recommend coming here when there is snow - it wasn't necessarily a treacherous drive, but it is not something you wanna do in inclement weather. In the fall, spring, or summer though it would be lovely.
The cabin and view are beautiful. It's obvious the cabin is very new and well taken care of. The beds are comfortable and the water pressure in the showers is good (side note, may want to add some non-slip decals or safety bar in showers). The deck is great to sit out on an enjoy the view!
So here's the downside, the road up to the cabin is terrible. It's one lane, dirt and stones and very steep. There are deeps ruts and divots that are impossible to completely avoid. My 4WD SUV handled it fine, but it was very nerve-wracking to drive. When you encounter someone coming from the other direction, you get to try to coordinate who is going to back up into the nearest driveway. We definitely altered plans after driving up the first time. It's doable, but no fun at all. Also, I travel thru the mountains frequently and drive these roads all the time, so it's not just that these roads are unfamiliar to me but this is by far the worst mountain road I've encountered. I cringe thinking about trying to drive when it rains or worse, snows.
We wanted remote and that's what we got! Beautiful cabin nestled in the woods overlooking Shenandoah valley. We enjoyed the hot tub every morning with coffee and every evening with a glass of wine. The house was perfect.
After a long day hiking off Skyline Drive, a relaxing soak in the hot tub with a view of the mountains was just what we needed. The road was a climb up, but the house is well situated and very well equipped.
Perfect spot for two couples, since it has two very comfortable king size beds and bathrooms.
We found the waterfall, but sadly it was dry!
Our host, Brian, offered great guidance and communicated well.
We had such a great time staying here. Easy check in process, super friendly and accommodating host/property manager. The location was great for us because it was secluded and close to Luray. We went hiking in the Shenandoah National Park almost every day. We highly recommend staying here!!
The sunset cabin was perfect! The views from the back deck at sunset are amazing. My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary with a trip to this cabin. It had everything we needed and more! Can't wait to return.
Stunning views of sunrises, sunsets, and star filled skies. We spent nearly all of our time there sitting on the back deck taking in all the beautiful views. The hot tub was much appreciated to relax sore and tired muscles. The cabin had every amenity that you could ever need. The drive up and down the road to get to the cabin was a bit of an adventure, but so worth it and added to the whole wonderful experience. We enjoyed our stay immensely and can't wait to return.
