"I have to admit I didn’t expect much from this room when I booked. You get an idea of what it will be like when you see an industrial kitchen sink in the bathroom (LOL), but I was in a rush, and the other options were excessively expensive because of the summer. But boy, I have to tell you, it was worse than expected. To start, the location is really scary; there is no parking, and the building is old. "This is a cross between a hotel, a bed and breakfast, and an Airbnb. The room had a modern feel with a King-sized bed and a modern private bathroom with a shower stall - like a contemporary hotel. There is no front desk - similar to an Airbnb - although Randy and Lisa, the gracious and friendly hosts, were available whenever we needed them. Each morning, we were greeted with a wonderfully prepared breakfast of much higher quality than your typical hotel - what one would expect from a B&B."

"Great hotel and pool area. Shuttle service to downtown was a plus! Very friendly staff and restaurant/bar on site was amazing! Had a quick bite to eat for a late night dinner and breakfast was delish!"

"The patio had lots of bird poop upon arrival. The staff cleaned the pillows but the sea gulls soiled the patio again. A cover over the patio to prevent such occurrences would be great our room was not refreshed one day because we slept in until 11. There should be afternoon refresh’s. The BBC water taxi and shuttle were excellent!"

"We had room 130 - top floor, ocean-view, It was quiet, the A/C worked like a charm, we got into the room early (huge surprise) and had plenty of space to spread out with our coffee in the morning around the property. Our dinner server was SUPER friendly - even though she was seated about 10 parties at once! (Reddish hair). Overall, a great over-nighter."

"We stayed in a “partial ocean view” room on the first floor. It had a small balcony that overlooked the patio by the restaurant and beyond that, the water. It was indeed a pleasant view. The hotel, like most in the immediate vicinity, is a little worn around the edges (especially for the rate we paid) but you can’t beat the location, everything was comfortable, and all we needed was available. The pool was warm and a popular spot. Heads up that the WiFi is spotty and cell reception terrible. But who cares? The hotel gave us two drink tickets for rum punch at the bar, which has a lovely view, and a pass to the town beach(es) upon request. The beach right in front is private for hotel guests but if you want to wander farther the pass is a good idea. The beach and water itself was clean and picturesque, full of families and boogie boarding kids, etc. There are a number of restaurants on the water as well, and some cute spots to grab a breakfast sandwich in the morning. A place to rent kayaks and paddle boards on the pond is within walking distance. Some folks come to party (not crazy or loud), the evidence of which is visible in the morning (bits of beachwear and cups around the lounge chairs) which was kind of funny. On the whole the vibes were good."
