« This is the most charming cottage. John and Arthur have thoughtfully created a comfortable and tranquil space. Yet, it is close to many fun restaurants, shopping and even breweries. Park Street in Alameda has it all. Easy into San Francisco on the ferry or a short car ride. If you’re lucky to have a chat with the hosts they are as charming and fascinating as the home they have curated. »

« Great property, beautiful surroundings and great accommodations. Very prompt response from hosts if needed. Kitchen fully equipped which we utilized. It’s listed for 2 people ideally, but we had four and had to use the pull out couch which could maybe use a new mattress or at least a good vacuuming) but was fine for our two night stay. The immediate surroundings are beautiful and the berries on site are edible and delicious. The outdoor space serene. We loved it!! »

« I had a wonderful stay among the redwoods. This home had everything I needed, plus a beautiful backyard perfect for reading and relaxing. Clean and tidy in a convenient location with easy access to hiking trails and nearby groceries. Host was kind and easily reachable. I would definitely return. »

« I was only there for one evening. I wanted to be close to the Oakland airport for my Monday mid morning flight to avoid traffic. It’s a perfect place for that. No need to get on the freeway and just a short 4-5 mile drive down the hill. Very pretty area too. Oh and the water pressure for the shower was awesome and heats up quick. Thank you again for a very convenient and peaceful stay! I will stay again when in the area. »

« Really nice in-law cottage with a lovely patio and garden. Close to freeway and Grand Lake Theatre, plenty of food options and a supermarket nearby. TV was a problem but Wi-Fi worked and we used our own tablets most of the time. Washer & dryer needs some knobs replaced but host was responsive & friendly about helping us find a workaround. Washed clothes just fine. Vehicle parking on street or at public lot nearby. Very nice place and I’d stay again! »

« Spacious and sunny rooms. Bed was very comfortable. Loved the sun porch and the chickens. Fully equipped with everything you might need. »

« Cory was great and easily available for questions. Location is great and easy to find places to eat that were close by. We walked to a lovely wine bar that was attached to a restaurant with delicious Italian food. Also walked to Philz’s coffee for a morning boost. Nice stay with my daughters. »

« I am not sure if it's the property manager, who did call and apologize the next day, or VRBO processes and management. We were not able to access the property at midnight, having just arrived in Oakland. After repeated attempts to contact the property manager all day for a door code, I finally called VRBO. The property had been rented, possibly under a different company. I am not sure. We were left to find accomodations at 1 AM. The property was right by the family's house we were visiting so...

« Was in town for a comedy show at the SAP Center. It was literally 10 mins away with a uber. Great location, right next to downtown San Jose. Quinn let us check in 30 mins early. Place was clean and had everything we needed. Bed in the bedroom was extremely comfortable compared to anywhere else. Almost felt like home. Shower was big, washer and dryer and a patio area to relax. »

« This property was in a lovely and safe neighborhood, and offered a peaceful and private experience. The only drawback was that it does not have air conditioning, so if the temps are high, the cottage does get quite warm during the day but then cools off very nicely at night. The extra bonus is that there's a small private patio area dedicated just to the cottage. A wonderful plus! »
