"Loved the secluded location within walking distance of the southern end of Lake Windmere. The cottage was smart and very clean, and well equipped, but we were stumpted on how to adjust the settings on the upmarket oven (a manual in kitchen drawer would have helped). We found that we had to be vigilant about the step in dark slate floor between bedrooms and kitchen/lounge (we used a bit of white cardboard to visually remind ourselves.) Had a great stay at The Bothy, we highly recommend it "

"Accommodation clean and tidy. Keys a little hard to find at the beginning for entry as there are many 'front porches'. In a nice area with mountain views and easy access to Whinlatter and Keswick and surrounding area."

"From booking the holiday with Keswick Cottages to leaving, everything was so easy. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The app is a great idea and a really useful thing to have. The info on the fire, cooker and bin collections wasn't correct for the property so needs a little review but this in no way spoiled anything. The property was lovely and comfortable, home from home. Ideally situated to walk to the pub for tea and to get around. The view of the mountains from the living room, bedroom...

"Amazing views from the place and a very cosy little apartment for two maybe a little bit less clutter and wires around the house would’ve been nicer. There is no need for so many gadgets like sky box BT players CD players music hi-fi."

"Perfect little house in a great location. Even though there isn’t really designated parking unless you have a tiny car there is always somewhere nearby to park. Will definitely stay here again. The receptionist at Keswick Cottages was delightful and couldn’t help enough."

"This is a great place to stay if you want good access to central Keswick , shops, restaurants and pubs . The property is spotless and has everything you need in a self catering property. It was lovely and warm and the bed, large and comfy . The parking was close by and although it was a tight fit with our large car we managed it. We did rely on the considerate parking of others to ensure we could get our car in and out without having to manoeuvre too much , and on one occasion couldn’t get it...

"We booked a last minute stay at the Fellseeker and contacted the team directly to help with booking as we were looking for a dog friendly property. All of the booking team could not have been more helpful, excellent communication from the staff, who immediately sent over all booking information and directions to the property. On arrival at the property, it was lovely inside and very clean. The location is excellent. I would definitely book here again and could not recommend it enough! Thank you...

"There was some work going on for the new spar but didn’t affect us staff really kind especially Kieran and Mathew definitely will return we had a superb room with a big bay window overlooking lake Windermere"
"This hotel is set in the most beautiful setting right in the edge of Lake Windermere . There is a seating area surrounded by greenery and flowers as well as a large conservatory for when the weather did not allow for outside sitting.
The breakfasts are fantastic. A cold buffet with lots of choice and a menu with a variety of hot options cooked to order.
The beds are comfy and bedrooms clean.
An added bonus for me was the pool area. The staff are friendly and helpful.
The overall experience at this hotel allowed me to have a relaxing and luxurious break"
"It was disappointing that the hydrotherapy pool was closed for maintenance/repairs for part of our stay. The staff were friendly but our safe was locked for our entire stay and they were unable to unlock it for us. There were a number of niggles which we wouldn’t have expected from a hotel at this star rating, such as the leaking sink, basic toiletries and lumpy pillows. The cooked breakfast was not available at the beginning of breakfast service despite booking the 7.30 time slot. However, great location, comfortable bed and excellent food."
"We were in room 56 Lovely views down the lake .. Modern bathroom ..and efficient air conditioning, which was much appreciated during the hot weather .. Everything as we excepted it to be .."
"We stayed in the Lodge 1, it was aesthetically really beautiful! The only downside is you can hear EVERYTHING from next door, which wasn’t too bad for us because it was just TV but I can imagine if you had a rowdy next door neighbour in the lodge you’d be extremely disappointed.
The Spa was beautiful and intimate it is a great escape for a couple… However, two elements of the shower didn’t work, the hydropool could use a bit of maintenance and a little bit of atmospheric music would be great (there is speakers). Besides this, it’s picturesque and relaxing facility.
Breakfast here is AMAZING like 10/10 the best hotel breakfast I’ve had. You have both a continental breakfast, and you have a made to order menu. I ordered the eggs florentine and my partner ordered the porridge, both were great.
This a hotel I’d definitely come back to and recommend for couples or friends looking for a relaxing getaway in the lakes :)."
"A lovely hotel in the heart of Ambleside. Our balcony room was in an annexe just a few steps from the main hotel. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the outdoor jacuzzi in the spa was a lifesaver in the immense heat we have just had. The food in the restaurant was lovely, breakfast was a continental buffet and hot from the menu and the dinner choice was very good and well priced."
