I recently stayed at the Novotel Worsley and came away with mixed feelings. The hotel itself is clean and well-maintained, and it's clear that a lot of investment has gone into the communal areas, which are modern, welcoming, and make a good first impression.
Unfortunately, the same can't be said for the bedrooms. The rooms felt very dated and lacked any real sense of comfort or personality. The décor was an odd mix, somewhere between a Soviet-era government building and Industrial Revolution Manchester. While everything was clean and functional, the rooms felt cold and uninspiring rather than warm and homely.
Breakfast was good, with a reasonable selection of hot and cold items, but it was fairly standard and nothing particularly memorable compared with other hotels in the same price range.
Overall, the Novotel Worsley is clean, convenient, and has pleasant public spaces, but the bedrooms are in need of updating and a more welcoming touch. If the quality of the rooms matched the communal areas, it would be a much more enjoyable place to stay.

"Room was spotless and spacious. Large group in at breakfast time but staff coped very well. No towels in Spa so had to get some from room. Parking is overpriced considering room costs, only negative for us. Have been a few times now, and will return."
