Find hotels in Quarff from CA $149

The best time to visit Quarff is typically during the summer months, from June to August, when the weather is at its mildest and the days are long.

During these months, you'll experience average temperatures ranging from 11°C to 15°C, which is comfortable for exploring the outdoors. The extended daylight hours, sometimes lasting until late evening, provide ample opportunity for sightseeing, coastal walks, and enjoying the natural beauty of the Shetland Islands. This period also generally sees less rainfall compared to other times of the year, making it more pleasant for outdoor activities.

For those interested in wildlife, particularly birdwatching, late spring (May) and early autumn (September) can also be excellent. May is when many migratory birds return to breed, and September offers a chance to see them before they depart, often with fewer crowds than the peak summer months.
