There was a misunderstanding regarding the parking arrangement, and when we tried to clarify and even compromise, the staff member at the reception (an older male) became very rude and aggressive. Instead of helping resolve the issue, he insulted us, mocked our English, and even threatened to remove us from the hotel. We found his behavior completely unacceptable and felt unsafe. « A quelques dizaines de mètres du lac, dans un emplacement calme, cet hôtel a de grandes chambres un peu vieillottes mais très confortables. Un souci au check out : l'hôtel n'avait pas eu les informations de paiement et nous demandait de régler la chambre déjà payée... Avec l'aide de l'opératrice de chat hotel.com et de l’hôtesse de l’hôtel (qui parlait français) cela a pu être réglé avec efficacité mais nous avons perdu 1/2h. A noter que le restaurant de l'hôtel est fermé le mercredi, mais il y...

"Our experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. There was a misunderstanding regarding the parking arrangement, and when we tried to clarify and even compromise, the staff member at the reception (an older male) became very rude and aggressive. Instead of helping resolve the issue, he insulted us, mocked our English, and even threatened to remove us from the hotel. We found his behavior completely unacceptable and felt unsafe. Other reviews mention rudeness also. While Obertraun itself is wonderful, with many small B&Bs, we would not stay at this hotel again."
