We spent two glorious weeks at Moetama Lodge Iti..we didn't want to leave.
It is a 1.5km drive up from the main road, and is perched on the mountainside with views across to Moorea.
The villa was well equipped, and actually had more than specified on the site: including a Nesspresso machine.
The open plan kitchen living area opens on to the wrap around balconey where we ate our meals and rekaxed...and watched whales in the bay below. Sliding windows open on to the balcony so there is a real sense of space. Bedroom had loads of storage and again had sliding widows opening on to the balcony.
The pool was a delight, even though we spent most of our mornings down by the lagoon we enjoyed coming back and just chilling.
We rented a Suziki Swift and it coped with the drive up the hillside with no problem. We note that some visitors have talked about the terrible road. Yes there are numerous potholes but you must remember this is a tropical island. There is no danger involved with the drive. However if, like us, your flight arrives in the night, recommend that you stay in Papeete or at the Aiport hotel ,( we did) until morning...driving in the dark up the road for the first time may not be a good option
Parking at the villa was secured but we would advise anyone booking a car to go for a small car as the available parking space is limited.
We shopped at both local supermarkets (Auchan and Carefour) and they were excellent.
In all a wonderful villa, where you can relax
