"Nice older hotel, but homeless are right outside the door. The front staff at the desk were 2 men who had absolutely no customer service skills. I asked about parking and he said, "I don't own a car, so I don't know." The hotel was clean and the beds and everything were nice. We did buy breakfast in the hotel and the staff in the restaurant connected to the hotel were exceptional! It's right downtown and the location to walk to places was great, you just have to literally dodge and walk around/through the homeless camped right outside the door."
Hampton Inn & Suites Providence Downtown

"Great location - staff was super helpful as our flight didn't leave until 5 pm and we had plans for the day. Offered great options and were absolutely great. Parking is ONLY valet - the listing stated self park but that would be you, on the street or in a random lot. Just be aware - but the valet was a great option with in/out possible. Great breakfast and tea/coffee station always available."

Renaissance Providence Downtown Hotel

"This property is the middle of downtown, right in front of the Capitol. Definitely a plus if you are conducting official business or are visiting the capitol. everything was good, not extraordinary; but it does solve the problem of being centrally located. the restaurant could use some improvements such as better menu, faster service and l-more lighting."

"It is totally ridiculous to charge for parking and bottle water. Room charge is sufficient to cover parking and 2 bottles of water. Absolutely ridiculous."
The Underwood-Hale House

"The house was beautiful and perfect for my family. Our family includes older teens, so it was great having the extra space -both inside and outside- to spread out a little. Close to downtown with lots of charming buildings, vintage shops, eateries, and the river within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again!"
