"We rented this lovely apartment for 3 weeks in December. It's been set up fantastically well. The owner has thought of everything from the barbecue, the jacuzzi, the kitchen equipment and smart TV to little things like a lighter, safe boxes and adapter plugs of which there were many. "Room was very generous size and 'double' bed was 6ft and very comfy! Double sink and spotless bathroom. We were lucky to have a balcony with view over the sea. Breakfast buffet offered fantastic choice and one night we opted for Madeiran evening buffet and were visited by a traditional Madeiran singing and dancing group! Within walking distance of the town and hotel also provided us with information on tours with direct or nearby pick up. "

"Loved it got a free upgrade. My adult daughter and I enjoyed the pool, breakfast, gym and other facilities. Did the Madeira tasting evening which was yummy, with plenty of food, and wine, well worth it. Car park was a little tricky required reversing in, if arriving back later in the evening, but that added to the adventure of the holiday. Thank you "

"This was possibly our best hotel experience ever. It was my husband's 50th birthday and management helped to make it truly special.The hotel room and facilities were stunning. The Cliff Bay is very well located, on a beautiful bay a few minutes walk away from the port area (I would recommend this distance away from the cruise ships). We enjoyed a couple of meals from room service (best burger ever...and we've tried many). On the opposite side of the scale, the Il Gallo D'Oro Michelin experience was extraordinary...food art and superb service. The hotel is in perfect condition and manages to be elegant and contemporary and yet have charm and feel warm. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and consider returning. An unforgettable stay."
