Ca l'Apostol, Mallorca style villa with a swimming pool

It is on a very quiet and private place on the outskirts of Pollença. Ca l'Apostol is located in the Coonya valley and has a view of the Puig de Maria mountains.
The holiday house is 250 years old and has been completely restored and converted into a vacation house. Many terraces surround the house along with a BBQ area, swimming pool and jacuzzi. In the inside, the rooms are luminous and have a mixture of traditional materials with a modern comfort. There are thick stone walls and sandstone arches, white walls, beamed ceilings and terra-cotta tiled floors. The living room is roomy, with sofas surrounding the fireplace. There is a TV with satellite and a sound system with CD and DVD. The kitchen is well equipped and is very roomy. The 5 bedrooms have two singe beds and a bathroom, one of them is on the ground floor.
This house is ideal for families and groups of friends for up to 18 people, yet the neighbouring house has the same owner and it is also rented out (Ca l'Apostol Nou).

Pollença is a village full of famous traditional festivals like the Calvario Holy Week procession and the Christian and Muslim 'La Patrona' party (from the 27th of July to the 2nd of August). Every Sunday morning there is a beautiful market in the main plaza. Also there are various art galleries. The village cultural offer during the summer is very abundant. Enhancing the famous Pollença international music festival where each week during the summer months a famous international orchestra band or soloist performs. Between the most picturesque places of the village you will discover the 'Puig de Maria' and the torture of its 365 steps. Pollença is also the beginning point of fun and pretty excursions through the Sierra de Tramuntana. The famous Formentor peninsula, the Sant Vicenç cove and the Pollença port also pertain to the same municipality and you can drive there in a few minutes.

Die Heizkörper in den Zimmern benötigen einen Anstrich oder Erneuerung. Der Whirlpool war leider etwas ungepflegt, das Wasser war leicht grünlich, so dass wir ihn nicht genutzt haben. In der Küche war eine Kochstelle des Gasherdes defekt und konnte nicht genutzt werden. Bei einer Belegung mit 8 Personen würde es Sinn machen 1 Isolierkanne für Kaffee bereitzustellen.Ansonsten hatten wir einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt und haben unseren Urlaub genossen.

Great family villa

We first stayed 26yrs ago and returned for pre wedding holiday.The pool area is excellent and out door seating area. The kitchen had all we needed although we did purchase some tall glasses. The downstairs bathroom could do with a little tic and updating and maybe the interior is very much as it was before decor wise. But having said that we didn’t rent it for its interior it was for the setting and the pool area.Cati was very easy to communicate with and sorted any issues quickly.

Beautiful villa in lovely surroundings

We had a lovely time at Ca l’Apostol, lovely villa, gardens and pool. Only a few minutes away from the beautiful old town of Pollenca.

Booked the villa for 2 weeks and enjoyed the company of family and friends at various times. The 5 bedrooms and bathrooms gave us space to do this. Pool, hot tub and outdoor areas used well and really enjoyed. Must have a car for this villa and be prepared to drive in narrow country lanes. However it's distance from Pollensa ensures peace and quiet. It's rural location enabled fun walks for children in the evenings seeing the animals around the area. As foodies the kitchen facilities proved less satisfactory and more suited to a smaller group than our 10 people. Very helpful host and easily contactable. The air conditioning unit in one of the bedrooms was not working and could not be repaired before we were leaving but Cati assured us that it was being repaired the day after we had gone.

A nice villa with a quiet surrounding

When you know how to really to drive a car it is easy to get to the villa, although the roads are a bit slim. So practice your driving skills before ;) The villa is in a good shape, all AC worked like they should and we enjoyed our stay there. Super easy and in time communication with the host. But: nothing of the mentioned pool cleaning and change of towels happened and for reported issues the handy-man took Spanish half days (aka 2 days or more) to fix these issues. All in all a good villa, nice location surrounding by some sheep that made us smile.

Wonderful family villa

The villa is wonderful and in a beautiful setting, it is down a very narrow long lane, but after travelling along it for 2 or 3 days , we found this to be ok. We are a family of 10 with children 9,11,13 and 15, we all had a fabulous time in the pool, we even had table tennis and swimming tournaments😀 A few more cooking utensils in the kitchen would have been an improvement. Cati the host was brilliant, if we did need any communication with her.

Very disappointed

The property is located closed to Pollença, 20 minutes drive from playa del Muro and Alcúdia which are very nice beaches. Although it’s difficult to reach the property and it’s far away from local amenities such as waste collection (5 minutes drive) and local supermarkets (5/10 minutes drive). It’s impossible to stay at this property and not have a car or motorbike. Regarding the property itself, the out space is very nice and pleasant, nevertheless the interior is basic, outdated and with minimal decoration. The air conditioning were old and noise, one of the upstairs bedroom had a broken air conditioner that although the owner tried to fix we had to “survive” without it for the all week. The dishwasher was also of poor quality and the kitchen was poorly equipped. We also had several times issues with hot water. The bed sheets were of poor quality and not comfortable. Overall we had a good time in Mallorca as it’s a lovely place and the beaches are great. The property was not perfect and of low value for money overall.

Wunderbare Finca südlich von Pollenca

Wenn man die ziemlich enge und Zufahrt gemeistert hat, erwartet einen eine großzügig angelegte Finca mit großem Pool, Whirlpool, großer Terrasse mit überdachtem Essplatz für 10 Personen. Die Zufahrt kommt einem anfangs sehr eng vor, aber wenn man gesehen hat, welche LKW durchpassen, relativiert sich das... Die Finca entspricht der Beschreibung und hat alles, was es für einen entspannten Urlaub braucht (wir waren 4 Erwachsene und 4 Kinder unter 12 Jahren). Die Verwalter waren immer ansprechbar und kleinere Probleme wurden sehr schnell beseitigt. Wir können L'Apostol uneingeschränkt empfehlen!

lovely large villa

Our mixed age family group from 3yrs to 69yrs had a great time here and the host was very accommodating. The location could do with more directional signs for Taxi drivers and a better system for the disposal of waste. A range of kitchen cleaning products and also a few items like milk , sugar, tea and coffee upon arrival would have been appreciated.

Beautiful Villa Rural Location

Beautiful old finca set in rural location. Access down very narrow lanes is difficult particularly at night. Could have more shade around pool but ancient Olive trees and vines give some additional shade. Spectacular mountains all around really make you feel away from it all. Good facilities with air con (necessary in August) plenty of space, nice pool, table tennis table, bbq, hot tub all as described. Did have a few issues with ants but not unexpected as we have rented villas in Spain for several years, buy a spray and never leave crumbs around. Puerto Pollenssa, good shops and beach, in easy driving distance. Close to spectacular mountain drives Overall a peaceful, lovely family break in typical Mallorcan countryside.

Tadelloses Objekt, ordentliche Zimmer und Bäder, Küche und Außenbereich ok. Nichts defekt oder runtergewirtschaftet. Zufahrt schwierig zu finden und möglichst nicht mit dem größten SUV. Grill schwer anzuzünden, da kaum Abzug. Trotzdem empfehlenswert.

Große Finca in ruhiger Lage

Für unsere Gruppe - 8 Erwachsene - ideale Größe, ruhige Lage, sehr sauber. Zwar ist die Anfahrt etwas eng und knifflig, aber insgesamt sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

Great location

The house was lovely but the ants were a slight irritation as they were everywhere even in one of the bedrooms on the wall . Apart from that Catia was really helpful and the pool and accommodation was great . Fantastic location and Pollença was beautiful.

Delightful villa

We were two families including grandparents and have enjoyed a wonderful stay in this house . The house was very clean on arrival and is well equipped with plentry of cutlery , glasses and China etc ( a lettuce spinner would have been useful in the kitchen though !) . The a/c is most efficient and quiet and was very useful to run in the bedrooms at night as it was very hot during our stay . The en suite bathrooms are good , but one of the older members of our party would have found that a grab handle in one shower would have been useful .....this is just a small point ! The outside terraces are delightful for relaxation and eating , and the pool is a good size and well maintained . However , the pool has no security alarm or cover and as it is close to the house some guests with very young children may feel this to be a disadvantage . The situation of the house is in a quiet country lane with other properties nearby , but offering total privacy ; it is only a short drive to supermarkets , beaches and the old town of Pollenca. Altogether a lovely property and we do not hesitate to recommend it and would be pleased to stay again .
