The owner was amazing, responsive and helpful w recommendations & reservations. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. Hot water was great after a dusty day on the local roads.
Only complaint was the wifi little to no signal the whole ti.e we were there - but they did state they were working on it.
The owner ensures a very high standard for guests to stay. The bedsheets are clean. The outdoor areas are esthetic with nice environment. Nice place to stay if you are visiting the plain of jars.
Free pickups.
Highly recommended to stay if you are around Phonsavan,Laos.
Sipanya Guesthouse was a real find- the property was spotlessly clean, the room was comfortable and breakfast in the hotel was excellent. Our host Abe was absolutely wonderful. He picked us up at the bus station and made us feel very welcome. We also booked a full day tour of the Plain of Jars and other nearby sights with Abe - it was a great experience. He was knowledgeable, and gave a very full informative tour in English.
We have stayed at Sipanya Guesthouse for three nights.
We were picked up at the airport and driven directly to the guest house by the very friendly owner Abey.
During our stay he organized and drove us for two full day tours in and around Phonsavan. He really gave us a deep insight into Lao Living and Culture. We got to see all the highlights of the region.
In addition, we had homemade Lao breakfast every morning
One evening, when we had finished dinner in town, the guest house picked us up as the rain poured down.
All in all a pleasant stay
The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was basic but spotless. My upgraded room had unlimited hot water but a smaller water heater in the basic room was useless. The beds were on the hard side, pillows too large for my liking and I had to ask for TP every second day for 7 days. Finally, the property’s numerous dogs and at least one rooster provided a reliable alarm clock from around 2 am to sunrise.
Good staff, good guide tour and they also have breakfast as well you can order what you want , I love breakfast here
I extend my stay here more 1 night .
The area is very quiet and nice. Staffs are very friendly and always there for us. They are able to communicate both in English and Laotian. I been there for 10 days and will love to go back to same hotel again. Keep up the good work.
The young man who owns this guesthouse is friendly and speaks English well. I had a comfortable night and would not hesitate to cone again when in the area. Quiet location yet very handy for town
Guesthouse Sipanya was almost like a family stay. They take care of every need in a personal way. Rooms were clean and complete. I highly recommend taking the very reasonable day tours offered by the Guesthouse. Mr. Souk us a warm and intelligent guide who spoke excellent English.

Friendly staff, good breakfast, great shower, comfy bed
Hotel alejado de los puntos de interes. No tiene calefaccion y cualquier problema es dificil de trasmitir porque solo habla ingles el director y esta poco. El hotel es basico pero con frio, es una tortura.
Expedia reservations beware, i booked/paid 2 rooms 3 nights, checked in and they said "error" had only one room open had to split up my party to another hotel, then went to check out early, opened up my room and they cleaned out the room and someone else stuff was in there, i went and complained and asked where my stuff was and why was someone else in room, the front desk person said i only booked 2 nights, i kept telling him NO i have 3 nights, luckily he returned my stuff and showed him my Expedia reservations. When you check in make sure u show the feont desk ppl prove
I booked this because of the “fabulous” comments. Is it fabulous? If you are not backpacking I guess it depends on what you normally stay at. This guest house is spotlessly clean and the bed is comfortable but the facilities are basic. It is near the market and the owner gives you a list of restaurants (we tried two and they were very good). He can also arrange a minivan to the plain of jars which includes lunch (again basic). Most people seem to stay only one or two nights passing through. The coach station is nearby, you can walk to it. For the price it is good and we would probably stay again.
The guesthouse is on the edge of the town, so quiet but a nice walk into tge main street. The local wet market is really close - its a walled market with two gates, so is actuslly a short-cut between the guesthouse and the town. Take a torch with you in the evening. Breakfast can be had at the market (noodles) or wander to Cranky Tea for a European breakfast.

Clean, simple, quiet guesthouse in a convenient location. The owner of this new property was very helpful.
The beds are extremely firm and the showers use wall mounted electric water heaters so the flow of warm water is modest. Overall, for the price, we were quite satisfied.
Abay, the owner and his brother and staff were very helpful and friendly. Abay's communication was excellent. The location is quite central and there is only a walk of a few hundred metres to the main street.
Clean and spacious basic room with large comfortable bed - some may find it hard but I found it excellent - with good bathroom. Very friendly and helpful owner/staff. Easy walk through market to main street - beware though - market closes up around 6.30pm. Definitely a lovely guest house
