Management was convinced the it was a balcony room. He appeared to not understand the difference between a balcony and patio. Staying on the bottom floor next to the street, it was often difficult to see the Mekong as car/vans were parked in front of my patio room obstructing the view of the Mekong. If you book a balcony view room, I would stress that you want a "upstairs balcony room." The breakfast was good and staff friendly. It was very noisy with I think the hotel staff families staying in lower rooms, kids yelling late in the night and people sleeping on mattresses in the lobby early in the morning. It was a great location and staff were friendly but just too noisy. Very friendly and helpful staff made for a great stay. Good location across the street from the Mekong river. Easy 5 to 10 minute stroll into the centre of town. Close to everything. Made to order breakfast each morning with very good coffee.
