"This property is two rooms next to a small hotel. There is no check-in desk, instead you are meant to fill in an online form and let them know your arrival time. We hadn't seen that instruction, and nobody answered when we phoned the number on the door at 8pm. Luckily a local was passing and was able to help contact the hotel and get us in. Once we were in the room was nicely decorated with a good shower. Bed was two singles pushed together with a double sheet over and worked reasonably well as...

"Very clean spacious apartment in a quaint town. There was great communication with the owner and after a phone call on arrival we easily obtained key for checking. Top Paroy Hotel Reviews

Le Domaine des Hirondelles

10/10 Excellent

"We loved this renovated lodge style guest house. Everything was spotlessly clean, the breakfast was wonderful and Alexandra was a pleasure to meet and very helpful. Our hotels.com booking included the spa outside, which was wonderful, but apparently there is normally an extra to pay of €10/person."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Paroy?

The best area to stay in Paroy is within the village centre, particularly near the Mairie (Town Hall) and the Church of Saint-Laurent.

This compact village offers a peaceful rural experience. The main street, Rue de l'Église, connects the Mairie with the church, and you'll find a few local amenities like a bakery and a small grocery shop within easy walking distance. The village is surrounded by open fields and woodlands, great for those seeking a quiet retreat.

Couples looking for a romantic escape will find the village centre ideal. It's a lovely base for leisurely strolls through the charming streets, enjoying the historic architecture, and exploring the surrounding countryside hand-in-hand. The proximity to local eateries means convenient evenings out.

Families will also appreciate the village centre's calm environment. With less traffic and easy access to walking paths leading out into the fields, children have space to explore safely.

When is the best time to go to Paroy?

The best time to visit Paroy is during the late spring (May-June) and early autumn (September-October) when the weather is pleasant and comfortable for exploring.

During these months, you'll find temperatures are mild, typically ranging from 15°C to 25°C, which is ideal for strolling through the village and enjoying outdoor activities. The countryside surrounding Paroy is particularly beautiful in spring with blooming wildflowers, and in autumn with the changing colours of the leaves. This period also avoids the peak summer crowds, offering a more relaxed experience.

Families travelling with children might find the summer months (July-August) more suitable, despite being busier. While warmer, often reaching 25°C to 30°C, this aligns perfectly with school holidays, allowing for extended stays. The longer daylight hours also provide more opportunity for outdoor exploration and visits to nearby attractions.
