"Perfect stop over after long drive from Calais, love the retro feel it has. Room was big enough for two people and a spaniel. Quiet location too. Staff provided us with a locally brewed bottled beer which was very good. My only disappointment was a small one and that was small paper cups instead of proper cups and uht milk in the room- Although the breakfast facilities did look very good, we didn’t have time to try them. Would stay again."

"Bon rapport qualité/prix. Literie de qualité. Néanmoins l'établissement est vieillissant et cela se remarque notamment sur les sanitaires : fixation de l'abattant des toilettes en mauvais état, inverseur bain/douche capricieux et ne coupant jamais la partie bain, des équipements déposés mais la peinture en dessous n'a pas été refaite... Bref, rien de dramatique, mais cela mériterait une remise à niveau."

Top Pargny-lès-Reims Hotel Reviews

Four Points by Sheraton Reims Cathédrale

10/10 Excellent

"Very helpful English speaking staff. Good location, all the main champagne houses are walking distance (we did do 20k steps visiting the Cathedral, Lanson, Veuve Clique & Taittinger). Good simple buffet breakfast. Would use again if we ever go back to Reims."

Loisium Wine & Spa Hotel Champagne

8/10 Good

"The Loisium is perfectly located amidst the vineyards and the views are second to none. The challenges I have with the hotel are as follows: - the hotel room we had didn’t smell great and over our three day stay, we had large flies in our room each day. There was no food in the room and we thought the room was being cleaned but the flies were there and still smelt funny - despite being located in the middle of Champagne, the number of champagnes available by the glass were v limited and the mark-up on the bottles were astonishing. - a petty point but we were offered a glass of champagne in the evening but when we sought to redeem it at the bar, we were offered Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire instead. When we asked the bartender about it, she was decidedly defensive which raised eyebrows. I do recognise this is a petty comment especially as the wine was free but from a communications perspective, it was unusual."

Hotel Campanile Reims Sud - Bezannes

8/10 Good

"It was more of a motel than hotel. The room was clean although the loo nearly came off the wall every time I sat on it and I’m not fat. During the shower I got scolded by sudden hot water all the time. The front door opened onto the street which I didn’t like and the door was rickety. The staff however were lovely and my daughter and I had a nice dinner at a great price. Breakfast was nice, they have a kettle and fresh milk so I could make a nice cup of tea and they let me fill my flask with hot water."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Pargny-Lès-Reims?

The best area to stay in Pargny-Lès-Reims is within the village itself, or in the immediate surrounding Champagne region for a more secluded experience.

Pargny-Lès-Reims is a small, quiet village located in the heart of the Montagne de Reims Regional Natural Park, known for its Grand Cru vineyards. The village is compact, with a few local producers offering champagne tastings directly from their cellars. It's an ideal base for exploring the Champagne route and enjoying the serene countryside.

For couples seeking a romantic getaway focused on wine and relaxation, staying directly in Pargny-Lès-Reims or one of the nearby villages like Jouy-lès-Reims or Villedommange is perfect. You'll have easy access to vineyard tours and tastings, and the opportunity for scenic walks through the rolling hills. Many accommodations here are smaller, family-run establishments or guesthouses, offering a personal touch.

Travellers interested in a tranquil retreat with convenient access to Reims for day trips will also find this area appealing. The peaceful surroundings provide a welcome contrast to the city, and you're only a short drive from Reims's cathedral and other historical sites.

When is the best time to go to Pargny-Lès-Reims?

The best time to visit Pargny-Lès-Reims is during the late spring or early autumn, specifically from May to June or September to October.

These months offer pleasant weather for exploring the Champagne region. You'll find the vineyards at their most picturesque, either bursting with new growth in spring or adorned with golden leaves in autumn. The temperatures are generally mild, making it comfortable for walking tours of vineyards and visiting Champagne houses.

For those interested in the grape harvest, late September to early October is an excellent time to visit. You'll witness the bustling activity in the vineyards and possibly even participate in harvest-related events. This period is particularly good for experiencing the region's agricultural traditions.

If you prefer warmer weather and don't mind larger crowds, July and August are also good options. However, these are peak tourist months, so you can expect higher prices and more people at popular attractions.
