Parc d'État de Camp Helen

For the night of 10/16, we paid $158 plus $25 pet fee to stay in an unclean room. This is a $60/night room at best. And we don’t stay in $60/night rooms. We will knowingly stay in a 2-3 star property that has good ratings, is clean, convenient and accepts dogs. The lady at the counter was nice. But everything went downhill from there. There were people hanging out in the parking lot, people sitting in their cars smoking pot, etc. We get to the room and it had cheap furniture and mattresses. The sheets were clean, so were the counters, and the bathroom. The floor was not clean. If it hadn’t been 8:30 PM and we hadn’t driven for 19 hours, we would have left. Next we discover we can only get one channel on the TV - VH1. The remote only let you power on and off to that channel and nothing else. In the AM, we learned that the tub faucet was wonky and would give you all hot or all cold. So no shower for us. No, we do not recommend.
