"The Toshogu Shrine and Shinto Bridge are within walking distance. There are multiple restaurants within walking distance for lunch, including a Lawsons! They have a free shuttle to and from the train station, what a nice accommodation. The rooms were spacious and clean. The onsen was clean and also has an outdoor onsen! The food was delicious and they different each night and breakfast! I highly recommend this ryokan and I would definitely come back here when visiting Nikko!"

"Nice new building & modern rooms, friendly staff, convenient and free parking. Walkable from the train station but is uphill and not very close (probably not a good idea with bags). The property offers free transfers from the station, but only hourly and just a few times a day - I would not consider this a negative though given the hotel is affordable and taxi rides are cheap. "Everything went smoothly. Only one annoying check-in process, asking for date of birth, where you come from, and where you would be heading to, as a must information for check in. "

"Room little dated but extremely spacious, and very clean. Only comment is lack of USB port. Buffet was adequate but missing the ‘wow’ factor. Property was little far from train station, I think it would be much convenient if the shuttle will bring guess back to hotel instead of just one way to the train station."

"The room was absolutely beautiful, the private bath was so lovely in the cold night air. The staff were all so friendly and attentive, it really felt like they had thought of everything! We would definitely stay here again The only downside is that when arriving, the driveway/road up to the hotel is completely gravel so it was very hard to get our suitcase to the hotel. We ended up getting a taxi back to the train station at the end of our stay and that was much easier. Strongly recommend not walking to the hotel from the train station if you have a big suitcase like we did"
