It was clean well stopped and appointed very nicely. The location was also very nice. I really enjoyed it and I would bring the cabin again. The only challenge is making sure that the door lock does not get stuck you need to check either put oil or something on the doorbell cause it does tend to stick because it’s electronic it may not close all the time you have to check that lock. Nice cabin on a beautiful property with a river running through. Pet friendly. And the owners are so nice. Very responsive. Don’t bring anything extra, Sonny already has it! The creek was so refreshing and kayaks were provided! The fire pit was used every night as we sat and relaxed. The gas grill was wonderful!! The adults could sit on the deck and watch the kids splash in the creek below, then a nice fire pit in the evening for marshmallows. The cabin was clean, cozy, and comfy! The owners have done a great job keeping the cozy feel of a rustic cabin, but with all the modern amenities. The small town of New Castle is just down the road and has a surprising amount of food and supply options. The area is perfect for anyone wanting to explore in the woods. Both long treks and short hikes are right around the corner. And if you are looking to just take it easy, the fire pit, creek deck or huge covered outdoor area are all perfect. Dinner at Pine Top one night, lunch at Swinging Bridge in Paint Bank, tour of Greenbrier Bunker, visit to Fenwick Mine area and Roaring Run iron furnace, walk along the rail trail between Commerce/3rd St and school, mosying around the New Castle log houses, hotel and courthouse , and enjoying the area.
