Linens were not cleaned, beds were not made, bathroom and floors were not clean, landscaping trash in the yard and the kitchen countertops were dirty. The space had an unusual odor that was quite off-putting. We were told that the owner had stayed and self-cleaned. « I guess this could pass as a campsite. If you don’t mind being surrounded by trailers and storage vehicles on the side of a busy rural highway. If you are looking for an up north Mi camping experience you are hereby forwarned this is not the most scenic campsite! Not mad, just disappointed.But everyone’s gotta make a buck I guess. We decided to not stay the night and instead made the 6 hour trek home a day early. »

« It rained our 2 nights here so we only could use indoor features. We didn't find any of the furniture comfortable and had to go out and buy pillows as the ones provided were very flat and stiff. Also to note for anyone with mobility issues, the steps to get to the front door and indoor steps (house is a split level) are pretty steep. Views of the river were nice and liked the fairly isolated location. »

« The house is tucked away behind trees so it's not visible from the highway. Lighting at the doorway going into the garage where you enter the house. The house has nice big windows facing the lake. Beautiful view all day. The house is very roomy and lots of space to spread out. Outside is a porch with lawn chairs so you can send on the porch and the enjoy the view. There is also a small charcoal grill, table and chairs and off to the side of the porch is a fire pit. Kid friendly yard and house. »

« I had a great stay at Michelle’s place! The home was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described in the listing. The check-in process was smooth, and communication with the host was quick and friendly. The location was perfect — close to every sightseeing spot in the UP. The view from back of the house is immaculate. Afternoon strolls along the beach, looking into the horizon across Lake Michigan during sunset is topnotch. Definitely recommend. »
