The photos didn’t prepare me for how nice the apartment is. Everything I needed was there, and the location was ideal, both because it was close to downtown and my local relatives, and because the setting is gorgeous. The Porthole is a daylight basement apartment, and the house the apartment is in is right on the water, with a park in the strip of land between the front yard of the house and the Sound. I was there during some cold weather, and had things to do that prevented me from spending much time there, but we did have a very clear day one of the days of my stay, and the view was breathtaking. I highly recommend the Porthole to anyone visiting Port Angeles.
