"We loved the character of the property. It is beautifully restored, and every room is different. The location is wonderful, with restaurants, sights and shops within an easy walk. The reception staff is terrific, with a dinner recommendation that suited our request perfectly. We were in room 6, which is on the top floor. It is charming with ancient wood beams, a cosy seating area, comfortable bed and a beautiful view. This didn’t bother us, but if you are tall, the beams are quite low and you will have to duck. Again, not a problem for us but for anyone with mobility issues, there are a lot of narrow stairs to navigate so perhaps a lower floor would be more suitable as there is no elevator."

"Lovely apartment in a great location just outside historic center. Hans was most accommodating. He allowed us to drop off our luggage for our early arrival and had already carried it upstairs when we returned for official check in. I do warn seniors or mobility impaired that the stair are very narrow, but Hans again came and helped us get our bags back down the stairs. Thank you for a very nice accommodation."

"The apartment exceeded our expectations. It was roomy, comfortable, clean and had everything we needed for our 3 sisters getaway The beds were very comfortable and the apartment so quiet. The location was ideal. Convenient and walkable to public transportation, shops, restaurants and sites. We are so glad we chose this apartment and Leiden to be our home base. Communication with the hosts were excellent and we highly recommend."
