« We decided to stay here as it would be enough room for our whole group, me, my husband, his kids, my kids, and our grandkids. There were 13 of us total. We really like this rustic cabin. It is definitely outdated, but that was fine by us as then we didn't have to worry about the grandkids so much. The place was clean and we were spread out a bit in the three different sleeping areas. « Stayed here for 4 nights with spouse and 3 family members. Nice clean cute cabin. Owner was very responsive to any questions we had. Fishing was productive and the lake is very clean. The only drawback was being so close to BIR and the loudness during the races or practice or whatever they were doing. But since we were on the water or exploring the area we didn't hear too much of it. But in spite of that we totally enjoyed it! »

« This was a very peaceful and quiet vacation we had a couple of dear come to visit us we seen eagles and wild turkeys the cabin was very nice. The steps going upstairs was a bit sketchy they could use some type of hand rails and the boards on the deck should be replaced the kayaks were very nice and the view of the lake was wonderful »

« Loved the 2 queen beds in each bedroom. Kitchen well stocked and very clean. Dining and living room area very comfy. Loved the in suite washer/dryer. If I had any negatives I'd maybe be a refresh of the board games, but really no biggie. We were there early week and after Labor Day, so basically had the place to ourselves it was great. Will be back. »

« Lovely week at this lakeside cabin. We enjoyed just relaxing at the cabin, time on the dock and in the lake. Good hiking at Northland Arboretum in Baxter, Crow Wing SP and Father Hennepin SP. Also walked along the road daily with our little dog. Thank you Ron and Jodi. »

« We loved the old house and all the period furnishings. Mostly we loved that it could fit all of us in one place. A short walk to the nice little beach was great. A short drive to Walker or to Brainerd to explore. We had a wonderful time being together, sitting around a campfire, grilling, and playing in the yard. »

« While we did not have children with us, it’s the perfect location to stay for a long weekend getaway. The large RV literally feels like a cabin. Onsite water activities for kids and adults on hand. Owner was easy to access from a communication perspective. If you like spotting Loons, this is a great location to sit on the dock to admire these magnificent birds. »
