The Neighborhood: Starfire Lodge is located in the private and serene town of Morongo Valley. Morongo Valley is a very special mountain-meets-desert community, located roughly equidistant from Palm Springs and the entrance to Joshua Tree National Park. It is in the perfect zone just below the final pass to the Hi-Desert, which makes it more comfortable in the hot summer months than Palm Springs, and warmer in the winter months than other Hi-Desert areas above of Pioneertown and Yucca Valley. The lodge is tucked back against the mountains just before you exit the valley to points higher, and while there are neighbors, all properties are on acreage, so privacy there is a distinct sense of privacy to go along with the grand views.
