Welcome to Panorama House, an award-winning architectural desert retreat featured in Dwell.
Set on 5 private acres between two desert hills, the home frames sweeping mountain and desert views. Slow down with coffee overlooking the valley, sunset dinners outdoors, and evenings in the hot tub beneath the stars. Thoughtful architecture and elevated interiors create a private escape deeply connected to the high desert.
Come for the architecture. Stay for the stillness.
THE SPACE
At 1,535 square feet, the two-bedroom, two-bath home is intimate yet expansive. Its distinctive roofline rises diagonally and gently folds across the structure, creating unexpected angles, soaring ceilings, and changing patterns of light throughout the day.
Walls of glass frame sweeping desert and mountain views, while the open living space flows onto an extraordinary 1,100-square-foot wraparound deck—making outdoor living as much a part of the house as the interiors.
Spend slow mornings with coffee overlooking the valley. Grill dinner outdoors as the mountains change color. Gather around the fire as the sun disappears, then sink into the hot tub beneath the stars and listen for coyotes in the distance.

INTERIORS
The interiors are minimal, warm, and highly considered, with designer furniture, collectible European pieces, custom furnishings, one-of-a-kind art, dramatic ceiling lines, and a strong connection to the surrounding desert.
Fleetwood windows and sliding glass walls frame the landscape throughout the house, turning the desert into part of the interior experience. A giant custom oak pivot entry door sets the tone on arrival, while custom white-oak millwork is paired with vintage pieces from Denmark and Sweden, contemporary design, artisan ceramics, Piero Lissoni, Georg Jensen and Alessi objects, and carefully selected lighting, including a vintage Louis Weisdorf Turbo pendant.
Curved forms, globe lighting, and custom pieces—including a thirteen-foot credenza—soften the sharper geometry of the architecture and give the interiors a sculptural quality.
The chef’s kitchen combines Reform cabinetry with Cambria quartz countertops, Dornbracht fixtures, a Bosch Benchmark refrigerator, Bosch 800 Series convection oven and induction cooktop, and a built-in 30-inch Lynx Sonoma gas grill just outside the kitchen. The home includes beautiful tableware and a well-stocked collection of cooking and baking essentials.
The living room opens directly to the wraparound deck through expansive glazing and centers around the indoor-outdoor fireplace, creating a natural gathering place from afternoon through evening. For guest use, the fireplace is operated from the outdoor side only.
SLEEP
The primary suite features a California king bed, private deck access through a large glass slider, and an en suite bathroom where you can soak while looking toward the desert hills.
The second bedroom features a custom white-oak queen bed and a generous picture window framing the landscape.
The bedrooms are positioned separately for privacy and quiet, and both include large custom white-oak wardrobes with hanging and shelf storage.
OUTDOOR LIVING
The 270° wraparound deck is a defining feature of Panorama House. Designed as an extension of the interior, it offers multiple places to dine, lounge, gather, and simply watch the desert change throughout the day.
The sunken hot tub sits on its own spa deck with expansive views. Nearby, a propane fire pit creates a front-row seat for sunset and stargazing.
The south deck includes a built-in 30-inch Lynx Sonoma gas grill adjacent to the kitchen, while outdoor dining, sun loungers, a meditation garden, and the outdoor side of the fireplace offer different ways to experience the property.
Set across five private acres, Panorama House feels remarkably secluded. Jackrabbits, quail, roadrunners, coyotes, and other desert wildlife are frequent visitors.
