Walking distance to downtown Monterey and Del Monte Shopping Center. Easy check-in and nice staff. They provide a code to allow for room entry which I appreciated instead of a key card. Location allows for quick highway access to Monterey or Carmel.

Our three days stay was nice, room was better than expected clean and spacious. The location is pretty great, we walked to the Wharf, downtown for dinner and a farmers market, and to Friendly Park. Hotel is within miles of all of the favorite tourist spots.

Floors need to be replaced you could here the wood cracking rooms were very small TV was small and not even smart TV staff was no help and rude I found a much better place in pacific Grove the monarch resort they have free breakfast heated pool very large rooms staff was really nice place was in much nicer and cheaper

I stayed here overnight for a Spartan Race and it was exactly what I needed. The location was central to everything, which made getting around super easy. The beds were nice and soft, and the shower had great water pressure with plenty of hot water. Parking was also very convenient. Overall, a comfortable and hassle‑free stay.

Villa Franca Inn is a great option if you’re looking for an affordable stay in Monterey. Located 20 minutes (walking) and 5 minutes (driving) from fisherman’s wharf, it’s in a nice location. Parking is free, check in/out is quick and easy, staff were kind. Room is simple, but spacious. Had no complaints for the price paid. Walls are a bit thin, so if you are a light sleeper, you may want to opt for place.

I loved the Villa Franca! No, it’s not a fancy hotel, but a clean, family run motel. It’s small, but there was enough parking for the 8-10 rooms, and I liked the view across the street of grass and trees. Yes it’s on a street, but it’s not very busy. Just a few blocks away is the ocean, and pier. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was a good size. Didn’t smell like smoke, thankfully. Appears to be family run, I saw three generations. Last year when I stopped in Monterey, I found that long row of 20+ motels and hotels all on one street. I thought I’d just go there again, but I’m glad I found this place instead. This will be my favorite stopover to return to every summer!.
