"We had a lovely stay at Trout Run Cottage. Sitting outside listening to the creek was blissful. The hot tub was great too. Meal making was easy as the kitchen had all the appliances you might need. Very quiet and peaceful. The host were super friendly! Looking forward to our next visit. PS: lots of places to visit in the area. Try out the cinnamon rolls at the bakery just a walk up the road. Delicious. Highly recommend Trout Run Cottage. "

"Breakfast was average, but area was clean and well stocked. Pool is small with ni hot tub, but our grandchildren loved having the whole pool to ourselves, so that was a win. Staff was efficient and polite. Even though there were a lot of cars in the lot, the building was very quiet. Elevators were quick."

"Great property for a getaway. Well appointed and maintained. Beds for everyone. Kitchen had everything we needed for big meals. Sound system was amazing. Tons of fun hot tubbing and playing pool. Owners were quick to respond to questions. Definitely hope to stay here again when visiting our Penn Stater. "

"We had a wonderful stay at the Niman House. The house itself was lovely, very clean, and well appointed. It had everything that we needed to make our stay enjoyable. The view of the river was beautiful and excellent for watching birds. The hot tub was clean and relaxing. The location was an easy drive to Mifflintown for groceries at Weis Market. Lewistown was also nearby with even more shopping and dining opportunities. We will definitely consider staying here again."

"Place was clean and as expected. A little closer to the road than I had imagined but not a busy road, so that’s ok. The property manager very prompt at answering questions and fixing a minor issue we had with water temp, but he was on site within 30 min and brought our requested fire wood with him. It was a peaceful stay for our anniversary. Would definitely recommend."

"My family and I traveled from NY to PA for a worship concert. Our short stay with this Super 8 Hotel in Burnham was excellent. We arrived about an hour before check-in and Kathryn (I think that is her name) was friendly and accommodating. She said there may be two rooms ready, and went to check. When we checked out the next morning, she apologized that we had to wait a bit to get into our rooms, yet we arrived much earlier than the check-in time. Although we did not take advantage of any enmities, our rooms were clean, the parking was easily accessible, and the beds were comfortable. "

"The description said sleeps 7 but unless one is sleeping on couch and one in recliner it only sleeps 5. Second bedroom has no door its just at top of stairs. Otherwise cute house with nice porches for porch sitting in warm weather. Rds to get there are very mountain side and narrow but if you want scenic views its perfect. "
