We were gathering with Family at Poe Paddy State Park And found the place to be very convenientWe were three adult family members so the accommodations worked very well for us. To reach the second, more spacious bedroom, the staircase is a bit steep, and there is not a door which closes it off from the rest of the house. It was a nice peaceful setting near a small stream. The cabin had everything we wanted. Liked the screened-in porch and the recliners (we're getting old). You do need to drive a few miles of dirt roads to get to this area, but the cabin is along a paved road near a small village of cabins just outside the state parks of Poe Valley and Poe Paddy. We were blown away by the accommodations, especially the two screened porches and the ample supplies of coffee pods, paper products, and charcoal for the grill. This is a rare instance where the actual place is better than the photos! There is a fully stocked kitchen and a comfortable family room. The location is very quiet and there is plenty of screened in porch area to relax outside. The host was very responsive and timely with the door code and some questions I had. A few points that were not a concern for us but could be for others: - It is very far off the beaten path. It is 5 miles back an unpaved mountain road (coming from either the west or north). It is about 35 minutes from State College. - The upstairs bedroom is open (loft) so doesn’t offer full privacy. - There is a TV but only Prime Video and YouTube (and DVDs). Shouldn’t be a problem for most people, especially since there is solid WiFi.
