"It’s wildly overpriced for what it is - an overnight stay before going to the resort on an island if the flight comes in late in the night. But the rooms are a quite tacky with shiny tiles; white lights; and cramped space. It was not worth the price."
OBLU NATURE Helengeli - All-Inclusive with Free Transfers
10/10 Excellent
"Nice resort 1 hour speedboat from Male. Main reason we stayed here was for snorkelling on the house reef which was pretty good, heaps of fish, sharks, rays, octopus and turtles, however the coral is not as healthy as other resorts we have stayed at. Food was good, especially at The Grill. All inclusive drinks list suited us. Staff were excellent and very attentive and spoilt me on my birthday. We had a beach bungalow which was comfortable with great shower, comfortable bed and close to the main restaurant and bar. Overwater bungalows looked good too. Good resort if you don’t want to fly out of Male."
"Samann Grand in Male, Maldives is a good hotel conveniently located close to the airport. The room was small and did not have a chair. No swimming pool. The restaurant was advertised as excellent with a superb view but it was just ok. Personnel were very helpful assisting with laptop and phone charging and other matters."
Radisson Blu Resort Maldives with 50 percent off on Sea Plane round trip 03 nights & above
10/10 Excellent
"From arriving at Male airport to check-in at Resort was just effortless as everything are planned and executed perfectly without having to look after our own baggage.
All staff at Radisson Blu were very friendly, helpful & attentive to our needs. They tried to make your stay as comfortable like home as possible.
Special mention to Elaiza, Matty, Pandeep (and many others) & the Chefs who cater to our meal requirements whenever possible; and also listening to our feedback.
I must especially thank Mr. Ahmed Nashid (Director of F&B) for arranging a Special Romantic Dinner for me & my wife by the beachfront.
The Ocean Villa with infinity pool which we stayed were perfect and very private. Water, tea & coffee, toiletries were replenished and housekeeping were done daily too.
The only downside of this trip is the waiting time for the seaplane to the resort (we waited around 3hrs). Hopefully this can be improved.
Overall it was an enjoyable trip and experience which we highly recommend to those planning to visit Maldives.

"This is a very nice affordable hotel near the public beach. The room was clean and the A/C worked. The bed was comfortable. My rate included an à la carte breakfast and shuttle to the airport. The internet was stable. There were a few quirks. You need to unplug the fridge to plug in the kettle. There is a weird threshold into the bathroom that I stumbled over a few times. The exit door leads onto a busy street and cars fly by... I ate dinner in the restaurant and it was a delicious coconut curry. All in all, pretty good. I would stay there again."
"Let me say it was one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. Our dive master Jack was fantastic. If you dive request him. Dewa the chef at Arigato was fantastic and a delight to watch cook Teppinyaki. And let’s not forget Vinush the server at Tempo. He was always smile and delightful. The air conditioning was ice cold. The showers were wonderfully hot. The entire experience was just fantastic."
