Brand new to VRBO! Welcome to Golden Grace in Lubbock, Texas. Once the home of former Texas Governor Preston Smith, this 5,500 sq. ft. mansion is great for large families or groups. This phenomenal property boasts 5 bedrooms, including 4 king beds, 1 twin bed, and 2 queen beds, as well as a game room with an 8-person poker table and foosball table. Located directly across from the Texas Tech campus, guests will feel right at home.

We had a magical holiday weekend at the Mansion. Walking to campus, watching Tech on television in the great room, and preparing a huge meal in the chef’s kitchen made for a wonderful visit.

Perfect Location

My family stayed at this wonderful house for a couple of days. We were comfortable and it was a great location for us. Very nice house and easy communication with the property manager or owner.

We stayed here for my son's graduation and had a large group. The house is in a great location, is a great size, and was very clean. We had plenty of room to spread out yet still be together. The kitchen is large and spacious and was a great gathering spot. The back patio was another favorite gathering spot. We also really enjoyed playing games at the poker table. Highly recommend!

Pleasant stay in a historic home.

House was clean inside and very pleasant to hang out in. Guests need more control of A/C. Home needs a coffee grinder. Perhaps a couple softer pillows. But besides that, we would stay again. Thank you

Home was very clean, had great air conditioning, fast Wi-Fi, luxurious bedding & comfortable furniture for our family of 6 adults. We had a great time playing foosball in the game room, sitting together in the family room & hanging out in the kitchen area which had plenty of seating. The backyard was really pretty with a nice water feature & has some nicely appointed seating areas & a Blackstone grill (that we unfortunately didn’t have an opportunity to use), that was very clean. Bedrooms were huge (Texas sized!) and had fun themes/decor & historical info. Easy walk to campus & the Jones Stadium for football. Wonderful location! Our host Eric was excellent communicating with us & checking in to ensure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend this property & host. We would definitely stay here again!
