The view of Glen Lake from the living area and master bedroom was a dream come true each day. I even slept with the blinds open to make sure we could wake up to the stunning view of the lake. The property itself is breathtaking, with the private dock offering the perfect spot for swimming in the warm, comfortable lake water. Christine and Pat are exceptional hosts. They thought of everything and were incredibly communicative, even giving us a heads-up about approaching storms, which turned out to be absolutely beautiful as well. The house is immaculate and so spacious. We took full advantage of the fire pit and made countless amazing memories during our stay. Plus, it’s just a few minutes drive into Lake George village and close to outlet shopping. What made this stay even more special was that my partner of 8 years and I eloped during our visit. We initially sought a place around Lake George for our intimate ceremony, as the area is dear to us, but we instantly fell in love with Christine and Pat’s property. We chose to elope by the beautiful tree in front of the dock. I had informed Christine of our plans beforehand, and upon arrival, we were delighted to find a delicious, stunning wedding cake made by her daughter, an incredible pastry chef. Some days, we just hung around the property; fishing, kayaking, sitting by the fire, playing yard games, and watching t.v. Some days we went out exploring; Lake Placid area, Fort Ticonderoga, Lake George, Shelving Rock, horseback riding, playing mini golf and shopping at the outlets. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. The showers were hot and there were plenty of towels. We had everything we needed to make some meals in the house and on the grill. It was so nice to have extra items like paper towels, toliet paper, soap, etc. there already for us to use.
