"The River House," as we refer to it, is a beautiful log cabin surrounded by mountain views, river views, and wood views. Take a seat on the front lawn and enjoy the tranquility of the river. The River House's location is central to many area attractions, such as Lake George, Six Flags, Gore Mountain, and Saratoga Race Track. The owners are located nearby for any questions or assistance you may need. A pack and play is available. There are three external surveillance cameras located on the property. Two are located on the corner of the cabin pointing towards the garage. One is outside on the side of the house facing the propane tank fill station. The kids loved the playground. We all loved making s’mores at the fire pit. The house was big enough to comfortably accommodate our family of 9\. The house is in a private wooded area with the river across the road. You can not see the neighbors once you are on the property. It was only 20 minutes away from downtown Lake George. It is quiet and relaxing and we'd like to return someday but there are a few things that need to be addressed. The house needs work. Fixtures are falling off the walls in the bathrooms or are missing. The cieling fan in the upstairs bedroom does not work and, although there was a box fan, it was not as effective. We were locked out of the house once and had to wait to get back in due to a finnicky lock on the entrance door. There are elecvtrical switches in some of the bathroms that do not work or are just confusing to figure out. All that said, we did have a lovely time and enjoyed the area. Thanks for "listening". The house was very clean with newer appliances. We used the fire pit nightly and views of the Hudson River were our constant companion both inside and outside.
