"this is a very cute property and the location is amazing/unbeatable.My biggest complaint is none of the electrical sockets worked well--they all seemed lose and did not make good contact with any of our plugs. that would be an easy fix as well as updating some to include usb outlets, otherwise it was great for our one night stay."

"Not a very smooth check in, they couldn’t find our reservation linked from Expedia. Felt like we were treated poorly because we booked through Expedia. We are in La Jolla for business quite a bit and have stayed in a few of the nicer hotels, all booked through Expedia, but this was the first Hilton stay, and it was a lot less seamless than some of our other stays near by."

"Very nice older hotel well maintained. We had a junior “suite”, a very spacious room, king bed, nice bathroom with a walk in shower as we had requested. A view of the ocean. Maids did a good job cleaning up every morning with fresh towels etc. None of this ‘we only clean every two days’ etc. like you hear at lesser places. The combined breakfast room, bar, restaurant was not an elegant area, but the service was excellent. Main sitting area was a beautiful room, not huge, but adequate. A small patio overlooking the pool was sometimes open for breakfast, others times not - confusing."

"This hotel was very clean and modern. The pool was warm and amazing to swim in at night. The room had a balcony and everything you could need for a short stay. The location is also great, as we were able to walk to and from the beach, to CVS, and to food. The staff was extremely friendly, especially the man who helped fix our TV and provide utensils to us at night. However, the staff member at the desk right around check out time was taking a very long bathroom break which was just inconvenient timing as we could not be helped and had to wait over ten minutes. Overall, a great location and great stay!"
