Old Style charm, well kept, clean, each room has its own personality. The lobby has chess and games, coffee and tea brewing, a fireplace and they even bake cookies a leave them in the lobby by the fire for the quests. The location is stunning waking up to the sound of the river flowing just outside was incredibly peaceful. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the start. They also gave us a great recommendation for a nearby sunset spot, which ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. The hotel is warm and welcoming, the comforts are all exceptional (our bed was so comfortable we slept like we haven’t slept in a long time), we spent time by the fire playing chess at night, watched the sun set at Klamath overlook (we heard sea-lions and saw grey whales from the overlook as well), and relaxed in the hot tub after a long hike in the wonderful redwood state park nearby. Breakfasts was simple but delicious and their homemade toast is FABULOUS.
