Sibert is located on a private wooded lot perfect for the bird watcher, yet just a short walk on a quiet street to the beach. Its open plan living area overlooking the treetops is both comfortable and attractive. The wide decking on the upper and middle levels is perfect for sunbathing, stargazing, or reading a book and relaxing. There is plenty to do for everyone in this community and in the area. Along with the quiet natural beauty, Sanderling delights with its nature trails for bird watching and fresh-air adventure. Large community pool with kiddy pool is the great place to take family and friends. Those who like to stay active on vacation will enjoy community tennis courts and Pine Island Racquet Club fitness facility, which are accessible for a reasonable fee. The Town of Duck with its wide selection of shopping and dining, year-round events and family activities, and Public Park featuring playground and soundside boardwalk is just a short drive from the property.

Ground Level: Outside amenities include a charcoal grill and outside shower. Inside you'll find a King Master Bedroom with 32" flat-screen TV/DVD, Bedroom with a Double Bed that shares a hall bathroom with a Bedroom with a Queen Bed, laundry.

Top Level: Great room with LCD TV/DVD, Queen Sleep Sofa, stereo with CD and a game table, kitchen with breakfast bar seating 4, dining room seating 6.

Extras: 3 TVs, 2 DVD players, stereo with CD, high-speed wireless internet, video/book libraries, pack-n-play, outside shower, charcoal & gas grills, community pool and tennis (fee associated), parking for 4-5 vehicles and linens and towels provided. Linens and towels provided at no additional cost. This home will provide sheets for all beds and the beds will be made with the exception of sleep sofas, top bunks and trundle beds in which case the sheets are provided. This home also provides 1 bath towel and 1 wash cloth per person the house sleeps, 2 hand towels per full bathroom, 1 hand towel per half bathroom and a bath mat for each shower or tub.

  • One of the northernmost towns along the coast in North Carolina, Duck is an idyllic town on the shores of the Currituck Sound. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. We really loved the location among the Angel Oaks.

We enjoyed our visit to this property although there were a couple of cleaning issues, such as a stain on the wall by the stairs that appeared to be blood. The decorative jars needed to be washed as they were dusty. Also, any future renters should know to take ALL supplies, including dishwasher soap as well as dishwasher detergent, bathroom tissue, paper towels, etc.

Great location!

House is like something out of an 80s time warp, but it’s a lot of fun for a family. The decks are rickety and we thought someone might plummet to their death, but all okay. AC was pretty wonky. Very hot downstairs and cool upstairs. House definitely has not been renovated, but it’s close to the beach so who really cares. Biggest issue is that you have to buy everything: there were no garbage bags, extra paper towels, dish soap, dishwashing liquid, or a sponge. No coffee filters or salt either. Come prepared!

Nice location

The house is in a nice neighborhood. Short walk to the beach. Washer and dryer is nice. It would be nice to have more outside seating and table. The house however needs a serious deep clean. Spiders everywhere! Shower curtains need replaced they are moldy.
