« It was clean. It had a beautiful drive to it and it was tucked up in the woods. It would be nice if there was curtains, but that is OK. You are surrounded by trees. Enjoyed our visit. Has a very cute town nearby. Wasn’t in the house very much was enjoying all the scenery. »

« Our stay at Bala’s home was wonderful. The location right on the river is perfect for a relaxing getaway. A very close drive to the National Park and Front Royal. The home is updated nicely and amenities are well stocked, above average kitchen supplies from the typical vacation rental. Do note that there are no tvs in the bedrooms which we appreciated but some may not. Overall it was great. »

« Super cute property with a gorgeous view down to the river. We came for a week to get out of the city and spent time exploring the surrounding area. It's half an hour from Front Royal and Winchester and there are lots of other small towns within that distance too. We did a short hike in Woodstock and visited Muse Winery there too, both great adventures. We took advantage of the fire pit and had a lovely evening making smores. Would absolutely recommend. »

« We had a wonderful stay at this cozy mountain house with my wife and our two kids. Deer with their fawns often came close to the house, which was such a magical sight. A beautiful tree was blooming right in front of the terrace, adding to the charm of the place. The location is perfect — just a short drive to the park, wineries, river rafting, and other attractions. Highly recommended for a peaceful family gateway. »

« The A Frame Mountain Retreat was an excellent choice for our girls trip! The cabin itself was cozy, clean, and true to the photos. We enjoyed the hot tub and cute firepit area immensely There were some ants, which is to be expected in the middle of the woods, but keeping all of our food in sealed containers or the fridge helped. Kim, the host, was informative and prompt to respond. I felt well prepared prior to arrival. The location was nice. You really feel like you’re secluded in the woods....
