Enjoy gorgeous outdoor spaces all summer long, including a spacious deck and patio, a large yard, and a firepit where you can roast s'mores at the edge of the forest. This three-story home sits just west of I-95 and Maine Route 1, less than five miles from downtown Kennebunk's quaint shops and restaurants. Take your pick of nearby beaches, including Kennebunk Beach, Mothers Beach, and Gooch's Beach, all within nine miles. Spend your days hiking nearby trails, picking produce at local U-pick farms, and swimming in Kennebunk Pond (nine miles). Portland and Portsmouth are both within 30 miles as well. Ride the two provided (adult-size) bikes home from your afternoon excursions to relax and unwind outside. Take a nap in the hammock hanging among the trees, light the gas grill for an alfresco dinner, and linger by the firepit after sunset to stargaze in an incredibly dark night sky. Built in 2020, the house is full of custom finishes and modern touches, from central air conditioning to high-speed WiFi. The open living space is perfect for spending time together: playing board games at the dining room table, streaming movies by the gas fireplace, and preparing meals using stainless steel kitchen appliances, a large island, and a separate spacious pantry. In the evenings, find four bedrooms (all with smart TVs) upstairs - one primary suite with its own gas fireplace and bathroom, and three guest rooms with desk workspaces. The fifth bedroom is downstairs in the finished walkout basement. THINGS TO KNOW If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. Gas stove top was not clean. We had to rewash the dishes (spotted and not washed properly) before we could use them for our family gathering. Range hood was full of grease...been there for a long time. Took some pictures to support claim. A suggestion; when you know people are check-in at a certain hour...please heat the house a minimum, when we got there it was 60\* inside; took over 1h30 to get confortable. It’s a pretty good drive to Kennebunkport and is in a really isolated area. We were hoping to set up a small pool for the grandkids but there was no garden hose ( which I did ask for prior to arrival). The weather wasn’t helpful, so we left a day early. There were a lot of carpenter ants and the house looked liked it was barely used and cleaned. It was neat but not clean. Great six burner gas stove was filthy. The tea pot was cooked medium well! I tried to wash it but. We didn’t use fire pit or outside gas grill. It wasn’t a homey place for my family( four grandkids, four adult children and us, the grandparents)- and the games need to be tossed- there are a lot of books which was great for me but overall nothing special about this house if you have young ones (6 and under).
