While Kampung Sembulan Baru itself is a specific village, the best time to visit the broader Kota Kinabalu area, which includes Kampung Sembulan Baru, is generally during the dry season, from March to October.During these months, you'll experience less rainfall and plenty of sunshine, making it ideal for exploring the region's natural beauty and outdoor activities. The weather is consistently warm and humid, with average temperatures around 30°C (86°F), superb for enjoying the beaches and island hopping. This period is particularly good for those looking to visit nearby islands like Mamutik or Sapi for snorkelling and diving, as the waters are typically calmer and clearer. For travellers looking to undertake more strenuous activities, such as climbing Mount Kinabalu, the dry season offers more reliable trekking conditions, reducing the chances of slippery trails and obstructed views due to heavy rain.
