"The room was on the small side but spotlessly clean and the shower was great! Beds were very comfy. Breakfast had lots of choice & staff at check in were friendly & helpful."

"The bar was a peaceful place to relax and enjoy a drink after a full day out. It was situated in a perfect location being next to the subway station. We had the opportunity to experience the local feel of the place and to also enjoy the 20-30 minute walk to Potoncho alley for a completely different vibe. Catching the subway train 4 stops to kyoto station was easy for the day tour meeting-point. We were so comfortable here and wish we'd extended our stay. We will definitely be recommending Noku to anyone travelling to Japan and staying in Kyoto."

"Breakfast was ok. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is close to the imperial palace, but not to other sites of Kyoto. The subway is close, as is the bus stop, plenty of convenience stores close by. We had booked the family room, which was quite tight for 3 adults, but we still enjoyed our stay here."

"A little bit of a walk from the train, but that just gives you more time to take in the sites. Overall, this hotel is great. Aesthetically, it’s top notch. We loved our room and have been talking about it long after our stay. The only knock I’ll give is that the staff felt annoyed when we asked questions. They were very helpful, but sometimes felt reluctant while answering questions or assisting us. That said, I wouldn’t let that deter you from staying here. Next time we’re in Kyoto (and hopefully soon!), we’ll gladly rebook here. "
