« My wife and I spent two nights at the Manor House Inn while exploring Hadrian's Wall and other nearby Roman sites. We totally enjoyed it. From a great breakfast in the morning to an excellent pub / restaurant in the evening, everything was great. The staff was super hospitable and the housekeeping was excellent. Internet connectivity was also excellent. Highly recommended when you're planning on visiting Hadrian's Wall. »

« I was taken to the room, which was somewhat cramped with ever-so-slightly grubby duvets and extremely thin pillows. All acceptable problems I was prepared to deal with (as was the remote for the oddly-placed tele being dead, but that's me being picky) and I was even able to accept the fact that the shower had two settings - literally scalding (the red of my hand taking hours to go down) or too cold to use. « Cannot rate the Bridge House highly enough. The B&B is a stone's throw from the (best bit of) wall and 20 steps from a great little pub to watch the sun set. The room, bed, and shower were all perfect and the breakfast was the best I had all trip. What's more, the hosts clearly don't think twice about going above and beyond for their guests, making sure that I had ice for a nagging injury from the trail despite my late arrival. Just a rare level of hospitality. »
