"We stayed at Jackie and Peter's for 4 days at the beginning of Oct. From the moment we pulled into the driveway we felt the peace and quiet surround us, the property is just stunning! The view of the mountain is just spectacular. And then there were all the wonderful things that were waiting for us inside. Like, delicious homemade cookies, a bowl of fresh apples and cherry tomatoes, fresh farm eggs and countless of other little extras. There's everything you need from spices in the kitchen to a good selection of different types of coffee. Loved the take out coffee cups. After a day of exploring it was nice to come back to a comfortable space and stretch out on the couch by the cozy fireplace. Bedrooms and bathroom are great size and the house was clean. We enjoyed the outdoor fireplace and the lighted path that they have through the woods is magical! The size and privacy of the property is what we loved as well. The location is excellent. Jackie was very helpful with information about things to do and see. We saw some seals @ the Bay and Brier Island was so nice. Jackie and Peter are lovely hosts, they invited us over to their place on the river and provided us with kayaks so we could go for a paddle. It was definitely 1 of the highlights of our visit to the valley. Paddling on the Annapolis river with such spectacular scenery of the mountains all around us was just such a great experience. Thanks Jackie and Peter, for such a wonderful and memorable stay. We'll be back!"

"We throughly enjoyed our brief stay at the Lark and Loon. Kevin and Lesley are fantastic hosts. They took fantastic care of us from the start with Kevin providing a warm and informative welcome and the super tasty frittata , fresh bread and berries for breakfast they whipped up and more tips and tricks provided by Kevin. Our room was spacious and cozy, the bed was super comfortable and the shower was great. They had excellent wifi to boot! We highly recommend the Lark and Loon if you are staying in Annapolis Royal."

"Kitchen and bathrooms amply stocked, quiet, charming, and a very peaceful getaway. We were super excited to see the seals in the water just down the drive from the house. Great launching point for day excursions to Digby, Annapolis Royal, and Halls Harbor/Wolfville. Absolutely loved the Sourdough Shack (everything SO good) just down the road and the Church Street Winery (John and friends made it feel warm/welcoming…like a pub experience (and the on-premise dogs were the sweetest)! We picked the week well for fall foliage, and loved our interactions everywhere we went…such wonderful communities!"
