"Excellent experience! Enjoyed our stay. My only dislike was that by not booking directly with the hotel we didn't get any updates/info about our stay. Apparently we were meant to book breakfast but we had no info on when and where we were meant to do this. It was also not explained at check In. Also for park tickets we had to check in so we could get hotel staff to print us tickets before entering the park. Overnight stay was very good, beds very comfy, brilliant for kids, and very easy to...

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Giessen?
The best area to stay in Giessen, North Brabant, is the village centre itself, particularly around the main street, Parallelweg.

This area is the heart of Giessen, offering a convenient and pleasant base for visitors. While Giessen is a small village, the Parallelweg is where you'll find local shops, a few eateries, and essential services. It's a quiet area, surrounded by the characteristic Dutch polder landscape and close to the Afgedamde Maas river.

Couples looking for a relaxing escape will find the village centre appealing. It provides a peaceful setting for walks along the river or through the countryside.
When is the best time to go to Giessen?
The best time to visit Giessen is during the spring (April to June) and early autumn (September to October) when the weather is mild and pleasant, making it ideal for exploring the area.

Spring brings comfortable temperatures, typically ranging from 10°C to 20°C, and the countryside is lush and green. This is a great time for outdoor activities like cycling along the river Linge or exploring the nearby nature reserves.

Early autumn also offers agreeable weather, with temperatures usually between 12°C and 18°C. The changing colours of the foliage create a picturesque backdrop, particularly around the Linge river and the surrounding orchards.
