The barn studio is a cute property in a quiet, nice area of Georgetown. However, there were several problems with the rental.First, the floors were very dirty with bits of hay from the barn all over the studio. The only vacuum we could find was a little Dirt Devil hand vac that was way too small to do a decent job of vacuuming the apartment. We were moving out of a house nearby so we brought our stick vacuum over to clean the floors. We got almost 3 canisters of dirt. The crazy thing is we had to pay a cleaning fee for this rental!The agreement states that the renters must empty the garbage can before leaving; but the trash can in the kitchen was half full of somebody else’s garbage when we arrived. The listing states there is parking for 2 cars in the garage next to the studio; except there was a pickup with a horse trailer hooked up to it, parked there most of the time. We didn’t need to use that parking, but still, if it is in the listing as a great reason to rent this property, then it should be available. I didn’t contact the owner about any of this as it wasn’t like a broken TV etc that occurred while we were there. These were all things that should be addressed before renters check in. I’m a ranch girl who is used to hay, horses and dirt. Just not in the house. This rental has so much potential, but it missed the mark for us.
