The beach and activities were the highlight, but service inconsistencies, room issues, and the membership experience really took away from the vacation. The beach area was very nice and the drinks were good. The food was average at best and not very warm, unless you were at one of the nicer restaurants. Toasters didn't work. Hot tub didn't work while we were there either. Water has some areas of rocks and weeds to watch out for. Staff was attentive and helpful at all times. For us, the only negative was the food in the buffet. It was often cold and not high quality. A prime example were the conch fritters. Entertainment staff worked VERY hard--shout-out to Theo, those on Trapeze, teaching yoga, dance, etc. Another shout out to Kayshala who worked at customer service. She worked really hard to help us on multiple occasions. The bartenders were great, most of the restaurant staff great and everyone very friendly. Now, I would give the food a zero star rating. It was boring and the same every single day. No flavor, no spices, just boring. For vegetarians, there were really few choices (I eat fish so that helped) I found one of chefs very rude as well as his sous chef and the restaruant manager on duty that day. This is a old resort that is in need of a complete remolding.
