"The room was about average for the Fort Stockton market. There were two addresses listed for the property—one is the address of WallMart on Dickson. I returned to the frontage road of I10 on the west side of town and followed until Hampton’s signage came into view. Breakfast meal was typical for Hampton—good food that varies on potatoes, omelettes, and breakfast meats. Parking is typical for West Texas—large pickup trucks backed into spaces obstructing the sidewalks. Town is West Texas friendly—including law enforcement; I stopped a deputy sheriff at a car wash and gave her a Subway gift card—she was pleasantly surprised."
