"Needlessly complicated check in process - why did I have to supply my ID? There is no UK legal requirement for this and most places don't do it. The booking app has my details if anything goes wrong. My room (6) was in a dark lower basement, not listed as such. I asked for upstairs room which was available but it did not have a cooking stove. Decor bit naff but place was essentially clean and comfortable with proper bedside tables, and reading lights. There was an issue with the hob which I...

"The property was easily found by using a Sat Nav. The property inside and outside was very clean. There is a narrow gravel drive up to the property so Parking was in the village square which was a short walk around the outside of the pub, so not recommended for disabled as there is also steps up to the entrance door. The entrance was a wooden decking which had a range of colorful potted plants and well maintained. The owner was very helpful with directions and places to visit and eat...

Moxy Plymouth

8/10 Good

"Great location for the arena. Nice room and was lovely and quiet. Pool table, umbrella rental, lockers etc all a nice touch. Bit strange during our stay that the bar was closed 10pm till 11pm after a gig at the arena for “maintenance”. Not sure why they could not do the maintenance during the day?"

Hotel Indigo Exeter by IHG

8/10 Good

"My room was facing High Street but it was very quiet. Exceptionally well equipped, too. Breakfast was very good, with all buffet items were clearly marked. I enjoyed the stay very much, but let me give some negative information for future improvement. My room was an 'accessible' one, and I pulled one of the alarm cords by mistake and alarm sounded. I eventually managed to 'reset' the alarm and was ready to apologise to a member of staff to come to rescue me. Nobody came. I felt relieved, but I think somebody should have come if any emergency alarm was raised from an accessible room. In the stylish cupboard containing amenity items, dressing gowns and slippers were placed too high up for any wheel chair user to reach (or even to see). Also I noticed the guest room doors made great noise regardless how carefully you closed them."

Copthorne Hotel Plymouth

10/10 Excellent

"The hotel was great value, was nice and clean and the room was very nice and comfortable. I had a nice view over the fountains in the town centre as requested, which was very good for the price paid. I was only there for 1 night and only experienced the room and the breakfast, but I would definitely return to this hotel. It is also really convenient for accessing the centre of Plymouth and the university."
