The harbour view level 3 room was very clean with comfortable/firm bed, and staff across the hotel could not do enough, but the interior and fittings are now over 20 years old and crying out for a complete refit to hold its 5 Star billing which in it's current condition it does not merit. The location was great - a short walk into Valletta & to the bus station/stop to go elsewhere around the island. Its close to Valletta (within walking distance) but very quite and calming.
Tip for Valletta: go in early and get off the main drag. You will have the city to yourself. It is spectacularly beautiful. Lots of hills and stairs, but every street is a photo op. Also, the grand harbour is magnificent. See it from the water.
