The rooms my group and I stayed in are run down and in need of serious renovation. The room's electrical sockets in the wall were loose and didn’t work. None of the minibar fridges worked. The windows in the bathroom were missing curtains, and the window glass is not one-way. And, in room 35, the sink plumbing was held together with duct tape. It was an unpleasant experience for my entire group. It certainly wasn't worth the 3-star hotel price. The air conditioner never worked properly so we had to open the windows which means all the noise from the street traffic and people walking were heard. First, I was recommended to this hotel by one of the owners of a restaurant located in the main Piazza. Overall, I had a good stay, the hotel was in good condition, the room was clean and it was located one block (3 min walking) from the heart of Florence. However, the most important thing I would like to mention is the great service provided by the staff. They were extremely helpful, friendly, and nice and this is to me why this is a great hotel.
